Naval Patrol Aircraft

Long-range maritime patrol aircraft designed to locate and destroy submarines and surface vessels. It combines extreme operational reach with sonar coverage, stealth-submarine detection and cruise-missile capability from Level 4 onward.

Sonar, Not Radar
For this unit, the displayed Radar Range functions as sonar range. It increases from 75 at Level 1 to 200 at Level 5.
Stealth Sub Detection
The eye capability means the aircraft can reveal stealth submarines, giving it a dedicated hunter role against hidden subs.
Cruise Missile
From Level 4 onward, Naval Patrol Aircraft can launch cruise missiles. Treat this separately from normal anti-ship and anti-submarine attack.

Combat Intelligence // Maritime Hunter

Anti-Submarine
Submarine attack rises from 5 to 8, while sonar coverage expands to 200. The stealth-submarine reveal capability is a core part of the unit’s value.
Anti-Surface
Surface-ship attack doubles from 7 to 14 by Level 5, giving the aircraft a serious secondary anti-ship strike role.
Long-Range Patrol
Flight range grows from 1,500 to 3,500. This is operational reach from airbases and is separate from the sonar detection radius.
Cruise Missile
Level 4+ aircraft can launch cruise missiles. Keep this as a separate capability rather than adding it into normal combat ATK values.

Calculator Logic // Naval Patrol Aircraft

Implementation Notes

1. Store surface-ship ATK and submarine ATK separately.

2. Treat the displayed Radar Range as sonar range: 75 → 100 → 150 → 150 → 200.

3. Store stealth_submarine_reveal = true as a dedicated detection capability.

4. Store cruise_missile_capable = true from Level 4 onward. Do not merge missile damage into normal attack values.

5. Keep flight range separate from sonar range: 1,500 → 1,500 → 2,000 → 2,500 → 3,500.

6. The supplied screenshots show the same core combat progression across all three doctrines. Keep doctrine-specific aircraft names and research metadata separately.

Doctrine Difference
No major combat-stat divergence is visible in the supplied screenshots. The meaningful differences here are primarily aircraft identity rather than raw fighting power.
