Naval Strike Fighter
The carrier-capable tactical strike branch. Naval Strike Fighters are separate units, but the supplied research trees show that they branch from the regular Strike Fighter line — meaning Strike Fighter research must be completed first. Across the supplied doctrine cards, the three doctrines are extremely close in raw combat performance. The most meaningful differences are research timing and aircraft names, while attack range, radar range, speed and HP converge to the same top supplied profile.

Combat Geometry Matters
The most important Naval Strike Fighter upgrade is not just the larger damage line. At Level 3, the supplied cards show attack range increasing from 650 to 800 and radar range increasing from 60 to 75. Speed remains 12 across every supplied level and doctrine. For the calculator, attack range, radar range and speed must therefore remain separate fields.
Research Timing // Supplied Trees
Research Dependency // Strike Fighter First
Separate Unit, Shared Research Path
The Naval Strike Fighter is not an upgrade that converts a regular Strike Fighter into a naval aircraft. It is a separate production unit. However, the supplied research trees clearly show the Naval Strike Fighter branch descending from the regular Strike Fighter line.
Correct calculator logic:
Strike Fighter research milestone → Naval Strike Fighter research becomes available → Naval Strike Fighter is researched separately → Naval Strike Fighter is produced separately.
Upgrade Breakpoints // What Is Actually Worth It?
Verdict: Level 3 Is the Strategic Upgrade
L1 establishes the carrier-capable tactical strike role at 650 attack range, 60 radar range, speed 12 and 22 HP.
L2 gives a substantial damage increase and raises HP to 23, but does not change attack range, radar range or speed.
L3 is the major breakpoint. Damage rises again, HP reaches 25, attack range jumps to 800 and radar range jumps to 75. This is the level that materially changes how far the aircraft can strike and how much sensor coverage it brings.
