HELICOPTER CARRIER

Special-unlock naval aviation platform built around one strategic purpose: carrying, refueling and relaunching helicopters far from land bases. It offers a focused route to move rotary-wing forces across oceans without developing the full Aircraft Carrier path, but the hull remains extremely fragile relative to the value of the helicopters it can hold.

Access Warning // Special Unlock Required
This is not a default naval unit. The supplied dossier states that access is tied to a permanent special-event / reward unlock. Players who never earned that unlock may not be able to research or produce the Helicopter Carrier. Once unlocked, its role is intentionally narrow: helicopter transport and helicopter operations from a mobile sea base.
Helicopter Capacity
4 → 6 → 10
L1–3 carry 4, L4–5 carry 6, L6 carries 10.
HP Progression
30 → 40
Strategic value rises much faster than hull durability.
Radar
75 → 100 → 150
Major radar breakpoints at L4 and L6.
Deep / Shallow Speed
3 / 1.5 → 4.5 / 2.25
Mobility improves substantially in the mid progression.

Select Doctrine & Level

All three doctrines share the same verified capacity, HP, movement and radar progression. Doctrine selection changes class identity and displays the supplied research milestones. Because the source provides five milestones for six levels, milestones are not forced into a fake one-to-one level mapping.

Capacity / Mobility / Radar

Level Capacity HP Deep Water SPD Shallow Water SPD Radar ATK Range Operational Note
L1 4 30 3.00 1.50 75 — Entry carrier; fragile and slow.
L2 4 30 3.00 1.50 75 — Capacity unchanged; incremental self-defense improvement.
L3 4 32 3.00 1.50 75 — Still four slots; hull remains fragile.
L4 6 35 4.00 2.00 100 50 First major carrier breakpoint.
L5 6 37 4.50 2.25 100 50 Improved repositioning; same six-slot air wing.
L6 10 40 4.50 2.25 150 75 Ten-slot end state with 150 radar.
Carrier Rule // Capacity Is The Real Weapon
The Helicopter Carrier’s strategic value comes primarily from helicopter capacity, not from the ship’s own direct-fire combat profile. Four, six and ten helicopter slots determine how much rotary-wing combat power can operate from the mobile sea base. Carrier capacity is therefore stored separately from the carrier’s own attack, defense, range, HP and radar values.

Infrastructure // Confirmed Requirement
The supplied unit cards identify Naval Base Level 3 plus Arms Industry Level 1 as the relevant production requirement. This lower naval-base threshold is part of the unit’s specialist economic argument: it provides a helicopter-focused naval aviation path without treating the platform as equivalent to a full-size Aircraft Carrier.
[ SELF-DEFENSE PROFILE ]

Supported Combat Values

Level Verified Key ATK Values Verified Key DEF Values Range Operational Assessment
L1 Surface / naval values around 2 where shown 2 / 2 / 1.5 / 2 / 2 — Minimal self-protection only.
L2 Surface / naval values around 2 where shown 2 across supported targets — Still not a combat ship.
L3 Surface / naval values around 2 where shown 2.5 across several supported targets — Small defensive improvement.
L4 4 / 3.5 / 4 / 3 / 3 4 / 3.5 / 4 / 3 / 3 50 Better self-defense; still escort-dependent.
L5 4 / 4 / 4 / 3 / 3 4 / 4 / 4 / 3 / 3 50 Useful defensive fire; poor frontline durability.
L6 5 / 4.5 / 4.5 / 4 / 4 5 / 4.5 / 4.5 / 4 / 4 75 Best self-defense in the line; only 40 HP.
Combat Data Rule // Preserve Supported Sequence
The supplied self-defense section gives grouped supported-target values rather than a complete text-labelled target table for every level. Those sequences are therefore preserved exactly as supplied and are not renamed into unsupported target classes. They are also not summed into a generic damage number. The carrier remains a support platform whose own weapons are primarily defensive.
[ UPGRADE INTELLIGENCE ]

Helicopter Carrier Breakpoints

L1–3
Four-Slot Transport
Capacity is already 4, but speed stays 3.00 / 1.50, radar remains 75 and HP is only 30–32.
L4
First Major Carrier Upgrade
Capacity jumps 4 → 6, deep speed 3.00 → 4.00, shallow speed 1.50 → 2.00, radar reaches 100 and 50-range self-defense appears.
L5
Better Repositioning
Capacity remains 6, but movement reaches 4.50 / 2.25. HP is still only 37.
L6
Ten-Slot Sea Base
Capacity reaches 10, radar reaches 150 and supported self-defense range reaches 75. HP rises to only 40.
Source Separation // Research & Carrier Role
The source provides six verified unit levels but only five doctrine research milestones. Those milestones are therefore displayed as research-tree milestones rather than being assigned to specific levels without support. The carrier is also kept distinct from the full Aircraft Carrier: the supplied role is helicopter-only mobile basing, not a conventional fixed-wing carrier air wing. No fixed-wing capacity is added.
